The Earth in "live transmission" by ISS International Space Station

With the help of four cameras, NASA enables every internet user to see the Earth as if he were at the International Space StationISS). The HD it "rises" directly in the channel of the US space agency in Ustream, while you can also visit and the website created for this purpose by NASA.

The four cameras are commercial και έχουν εγκατασταθεί στο εξωτερικό του Columbus, του ευρωπαϊκού τμήματος του Διεθνούς Διαστημικού Σταθμού, στα πλαίσια του πειράματος High Earth Viewing (HDEV). The goal of the experiment is to test them in real conditions by October 2015, so that the technicians of the service can check which ones are durable enough to be included in future space missions.

The video captures the spectacular view of the planet from space, while the ISS is on the Earth's side that is currently illuminated by the sun. The image is not accompanied by sound, so to add the soundtrack of its choice, as NSAA writes.

Because the image "blacks out" when the space station passes the dark side of the planet, NASA has added to the web of an interactive map that shows the position of the ISS at any time, showing whether it is over the bright or dark hemisphere.

When the video is grayed out, it means either NASA is switching the transmission to a different one , or that communication with the ISS has been temporarily lost. In that case, those who can't wait can watch some of the video clips available on the space agency's channel.

Although the experiment was officially launched by 2 May, due to a technical problem in the early days, relaying was interrupted for long periods of time. For about a XNUM hour, however, it seems that the malfunction has been rectified since the channel is generally working normally. Indeed, until now projections have surpassed 24 millions.
