Users at Reddit they accuse Microsoft Edge of importing data from Firefox without their permission. The war of browsers continues well.
Microsoft started the automatic release of the new Microsoft Edge browser based on Chromium on Windows 10 devices and apparently not everyone likes this approach.
In the case of Firefox users, some have discovered that the new default program browsing Windows 10, which ships to their devices through Windows Update, sometimes injects data that exists in the Mozilla application, even if they have not given it permission.
Some Firefox users who have decided to stop the initial Microsoft Edge installation process have found that despite the driver being terminated prematurely, the browser still copies data stored by the Mozilla browser.
And the funny thing is that on Reddit which is owned by Microsoft, several users have confirmed that this behavior occurred on their computers as well.
Microsoft has not yet commented on these complaints, so it is not yet known why Edge imports data from Firefox, despite users ending the original installation wizard.
