Visitors to the repository can browse collections and search for the material they are interested in between studies, videos, conference and conference proceedings, guides, presentations, and more. This content is available in accordance with the principles of Open Access. Registered users can even register their own content, thereby enabling users to use their material.

The EL / LAC repository not only contributes to the systematic collection, organization and open availability of open-source and open-source content but also to its widespread use and reuse, with the ultimate goal of promoting Open Content actions and showing its benefits use of Free Software and Open Architecture Technologies.

The content of the repository currently numbers 319 items, constituting a valuable source of knowledge about the developments in the development of open software applications, how they work, the αξιοποίησής τους, καθώς και την εφαρμογή δημόσιων αδειών χρήσης, τόσο εντός όσο και εκτός s.

The repository, which has been configured according to the operator's requirements, is hosted on the EKT Cloud infrastructure. It provides possibilities for long-term preservation of the content, its exploitation in a sustainable way, as well as implementation όπως η μετάπτωση δεδομένων σε διεθνή πρότυπα, η εξαγωγή του περιεχομένου σε επιλεγμένες εφαρμογές κ.ά.

The development of the Free Software / Open Source Software Repository was completed in the framework of the project "National Information Research System and Technology / Social Networks - User Generated Content" (Operational Program "Digital Convergence", NSRF and the NSRF European Regional Development Fund), (www.epset.gr), which is the main development project of the ESF.

The ESF develops digital repository services for institutions of high quality educational, research, scientific and cultural content. Soon, these services will evolve further, utilizing the Software as a Service model. The aim is to create a strong knowledge network for the exploitation and re-use of the reputable Greek digital content.

It is noted that the non-profit Free Software / Open Source Software Company was founded in 2008 and consists of 29 Universities, Research Centers, Technological Institutions and Public Benefit Organizations. Its main objective is to contribute to the promotion and development of Free Software, Open Content and Open Architecture Technologies in the area of education, public sector and business in Greece, while at the same time aspiring to become a knowledge center and a platform for dialogue on open technologies .
