Last week in Tokyo, Hitachi unveiled a new humanoid robot, the EMIEW3, which aims to automate customer service in stores, public facilities and services.
The Hitachi robot has a height of 90 centimeters (the size of a small child), can catch 3,7 miles at a time to keep up with customers who have a lively gait.
It can detect customer entry in the store and who needs help during shopping, thanks to its ability to recognize human traffic and the environment.
EMIEW3 can also isolate people's voices from environmental noise to understand better, and can communicate with many languages.
In addition to the online eye-catching camera, the bot is connected to a Cloud AI software that allows him to learn new behaviors and share information with other EMIEW3s.
In addition, robots can "walk" on uneven floors that have differences in height up to 15mm, and slow down when they reach corners.
