O European Space Agency ESA announced the eight possible ones points mission landing ExoMars. The mission is scheduled to begin in May of 2018 and reach Mars in January of 2019.

Ενας ρομποτικός εξερευνητής θα προσεδαφιστεί και θα προσπαθήσει να ανακαλύψει ίχνη ζωής στον Κόκκινο Πλανήτη. Το robot θα διαθέτει ανάμεσα στα άλλα και ένα ισχυρό τρυπάνι που θα μπορεί να σκάψει σε βάθος δύο μέτρων από την επιφάνεια. Οι ειδικοί εκτιμούν ότι είναι πιθανό κάτω από την επιφάνεια του Αρη να επινιώσουν κάποιες μικροβιακές μορφές ζωής τις οποίες ίσως καταφέρει να εντοπίσει το ρομπότ. Επίσης το ρομπότ θα προσπήσει να ανιχνεύσει και ίχνη ζωής από το μακρινό παρελθόν του Αρη.
The commanders of the mission have pre-selected eight possible landing points that are all in close proximity to each other in the area of the planet's equator. The group of experts dealing exclusively with the part of the mission that has to do with the landing of the robot meets in Madrid and it is expected the next 24 hour either to proceed with a new announcement that will limit to three possible points or to announce its final decision.
