Facebook started allowing users of adding any term they wish to describe their gender.
The social network has begun within 2014 to give its users a choice of sex from a list of default names. From today everyone can add his own term to describe his gender.
The Facebook Diversity states: “We recognize that some people face precalls when they share their true gender identity with others, and this particular setting enables them to express their opinions in a more authentic way.”
The new option is available to everyone using Facebook in US English. To change your gender, visit your page, click the Update Info button near the right side of it photos of your cover page and click on Contact and Basic Information to locate the Gender field.
