Another sick prank using a baby is doing the rounds on Facebook. Fraudsters once again try to cheat them users of Facebook, to get them likes, claiming that Facebook and CNN will donate the money to cover the child's medical expenses.
The hoax was detected by Hoax Slayer, and says something like this: “Please don't ignore it! His parents can't afford the surgery, so Facebook and CNN pay half the cost. 1 like - $ 1. 1comment - 10 $. 1share - $ 100 ”
Of course, CNN and Facebook don't give money, whatever comments, the shares or likes the publication has. The goal of scammers is to collect likes which they can later use for advertising purposes. We have also encountered the phenomenon of selling such websites.
You should also know that the photo with the sick baby has been published by a blog back in 2012.
If you come across such messages, do not like or reproduce them. Just make a reference to Facebook, albeit the social one network doesn't always remove similar pages.
