Recently, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the Facebook social network, announced that the company is working on a new one feature which will allow you to Dislike, or Dislike your friends' posts.
But this feature has engendered the interest of cybercriminals and decided to exploit it by luring unsuspecting internet users.
So at the moment there are posts on Facebook that promise the Dislike button before it is officially released. The scammers even claim that they will be available to a few users initially, for trial purposes. They also report that the new feature is being distributed "by invitation only" by the system.
Η scam it also contains links, which when clicked, take the user to a malicious website. There is a countdown timer that prompts the user to complete the process immediately before their time runs out.
The site then asks the victim-user to share Facebook scams, but also 5 chat groups with Messenger.
Once spread, the scam redirects the user to a new page where they are asked to fill out some questionnaires, which collect the user's personal information, names and codeς accesss.
We should add that some variants of the same scam that can be installed have been reported malware on the victim's computer.
So it would be good to think twice before clicking on posts that seem suspicious, or just too good to be true.
Let's not forget that the scammers win in this fight because they have virtually no opponent. This is why continuous information is needed.
