In a post on Facebook, Mr Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company plans to develop “AI personas” for Instagram, the Messenger and WhatsApp.
He also announced that the company is “creating a new team productof the highest level in Meta that focus on genetic artificial intelligence”.
The company is currently exploring assistants for multiple media formats. The goal is to someday see advanced chat features on Messenger and WhatsApp, or unique filters and ads on Instagram.
The videos and the "verytropical” content could also have benefits, according to Zuckerberg.
In the near future, there will be an emphasis on creation and expression tools. The largest social network is also reportedly bringing together groups production of its artificial intelligence into a single team to help turbocharge its efforts in the emerging sector.
Zuckerberg gave no further details and warned that there is "a lot of groundwork to do all of this" before the advanced projects he plans come to fruition.
For those who didn't catch the last sentence, Mr. Zuckerberg is essentially preparing the company's shareholders for the upcoming expenses.
Recall that due to the metaverse, the Meta lost $15 billion lately.
But even though Meta's revenue fell, the company managed to increase Facebook's active users by 3%. So in total the company currently has around 2 billion users. Of course, this gives Zuckerberg room to experiment with the upcoming technology, spending billions.
