A few days ago, there were rumors that wanted the Facebook app Messenger to support short SMS messages and multiple accounts on Android. From today something changes.
Through an app update Facebook Messenger starts supporting multiple accounts. The paradox is that while the company forbids it creation multiple accounts by one person, the instant messaging app supports it. It justifies it, of course, by stating that it's a feature for families who use one device to access Messenger.
So in the update there is a new setting called “Accounts.” From there each user will be able to log into their Messenger account. It may choose to require o code access whenever you will uses the app to send a message, or save the code (the account stays open but anyone can access it).
There is also a setting where accounts are protected with a second password.
Let's remind you that at least for now, this feature only exists in the Android app.
The company has not mentioned anything about when (and if) it will also be released for devices that run on iOS or for Web Messenger.
