Facebook has just announced a new feature that will allow you to send money to friends through the Messenger application.
The company says:
"Today we added a new feature to Messenger, which will give you a more comfortable and secure way to send or receive money from friends. This feature will be released in the coming months in the US. It's easy and free.

To send money:
- Start sending a message to a friend
- Tap the icon and enter the amount you want to send
- Click Pay in the top right corner and add your debit card to send money
To receive money:
- Open the conversation from your friend
- Click Add card to the message and add your debit card to accept the money for the first time
The money sent is transferred immediately. You may need one to three business days to receive your money according to the bank you use, just as with your other deposits.
