A new TechCrunch publication reported on Tuesday that, according to unnamed sources, Facebook is in talks to buy one company μη επανδρωμένων αεροσκαφών, για να προσφέρει access on Internet σε αυτούς οι οποίοι δεν έχουν. One of Titan Aerospace's UAVs, called Solara 60, can fly continuously for about five years. Facebook plans to build 11.000 Solara 60 and use it to offer Internet access in Africa, according to TechCrunch.
Facebook and Titan Aerospace have not stated anything officially, but one source confirmed on CNBC on Tuesday that Facebook was in talks to buy the maker.
In an interview last year with CNN, Mr Zuckerberg he said he had a "plan" to bring 5 billion more people online. Zuckerberg stated that the Internet.org project is not for profit (!), but because "we simply believe that everyone deserves to be connected to the Internet."
Too good to be true, Mr Zuckerberg. Imagine the profits of the popular social network if it gains another 1 billion users….
