Microsoft today released the Fall Creators Update for Windows 10 but the company says it will gradually borrow. Keeping in mind previous major updates, it may take months before you can install the update.
This is not necessarily bad, of course, as Microsoft will have time to fix problems faced by the first bold ones to install the new version of Windows 10, Fall Creators Update.
Though you consider yourself bold enough and you do not want to wait for Microsoft you can install Fall Creators today without waiting for the endless queue.
Before we move on I should mention once again that it would be good to wait until you are sure that the company has addressed all the compatibility issues that will be presented to the end users which I actually consider beta testers…
If you still insist, let's see how you can install Windows 10 Fall Creators today.
There are two basic options:
via Windows Update and Update Assistant and with the Media Creator.
The easiest one choice of course is to check Windows Update to see if the update is already being offered to you by Microsoft.
If you do not see the update
You can use it Update Assistant which helps in immediate updating of systems. This is a small program that you can download from Microsoft.
Note that Microsoft should unlock the program capabilities to allow Fall Creators to be installed. The version offered up to now is still for the older Creators Update.
Let's look at the next option:
The Media Creation tool lets you create ISO images or USB Flash drives. It is usually used by IT that needs to update many devices together.
Download the application from Microsoft and run it on the system you want to upgrade.
You will be asked to accept the Terms of Service. It has two options
“create installation media” or “upgrade of this computer now”.
The first creates a picture ISO ή αντιγράφει τα archives of the operating system to a USB and the second will upgrade your system directly without creating any installation media.
Tip: You can download the ISO 10 ISO (1709 Version) by using the service as well Adguard. Downloads are from Microsoft servers.
