The Fedora team has announced the release of a new snapshot of the distribution. The Fedora 34 distribution comes with a number of major changes, such as GNOME 40, the replacement of PulseAudio with PipeWire, and the default system files Btr that allows transparent compression.
"Since Fedora Linux 33 brought BTRFS as the default file system for variations on surface εργασίας, το Fedora Linux 34 επιτρέπει τη διαφανή συμπίεση για περισσότερο χώρο στο δίσκο. Desktop audio will change from using PulseAudio to PipeWire for better mixing and better management of audio streams. PipeWire is better designed to meet the needs of containers and applications released through Flatpaks.”
