Yesterday we announced (before her time) the release a Firefox update to version 78. Mozilla has now updated the landline Firefox 78 and you can all upgrade through the official website, or through the browser itself.
Mozilla, along with the official release of version 78.0.2, also provided the change log. So the new version is said to fix some bugs and fix a security flaw.
Mozilla fixed a bug that existed in the use of the address bar if one archive the SQLite database containing bookmarks, record or other navigation data was corrupted.
The address bar uses such files to give the end user search and navigation suggestions, which it does not do in the event that the data file is corrupted.
Other bug fixes affected the opening of external applications and an accessibility problem in the Reader view.
But the most important change in this version is that it fixes the following vulnerability:
Using an object or embed tags, it was possible to frame other sites, even if they did not allow frames using the X-Frame-Options header.
As we mentioned above the browser is now available for λήψη from its official website.
