Mozilla has officially announced the Flash shutdown schedule. The company along with many others will stop supporting Flash in January 2021.
Firefox version 84 will be the final version to support Flash. On January 26, 2021, Firefox 85 is expected to be released, and it will be a version without support Flash, “improving our performance and security,” according with the company.
As for them users following on the Nightly and Beta release channels, Flash support ends today, November 17, 2020 on Nightly and December 14, 2020 for the Beta channel.
There will be no setting to reactivate Flash support.
If Microsoft follows its plan to remove Flash, it will stop at the Edge Beta on December 7, 2020 and the Stable version on January 21, 2021. Support for the Canary channel has already stopped.
Adobe will stop distributing and updating it Flash Player after 31 December 2020.
