The Firefox web browser could soon get an add-on for mode Tor, which will significantly improve the security of the end user using the Tor network.
The ultimate goal is to implement a fully functional TOR program in your browser, and this project takes time. However, members of the Mozilla team and the Tor network seem to be already discussing the challenges.
Their proposal is to develop an add-on for the program tourwhich would enable Tor functionality in Firefox. This approach could give both companies the necessary time to develop what is needed for this new feature.
The extension will not be installed by default in Firefox, and users will have to download it manually from the Mozilla website to enable Tor's operation.
Θα μπορούσε επίσης να βοηθήσει για να μετρήσουμε το ενδιαφέρον σας μετρώντας τις λήψεις κ.λπ.," he says the Tor development team.
Mozilla developers and from Tor Project are already discussing various technical details.
The addon will configure the browser to use the tor network as a proxy, and allow settings that prevent bypass parameters, will resist fingerprinting, just as it does with Tor Browser settings.
Right now, the devs believe that the best way to proceed with the project and the add-on is to add a Tor mode button that will launch a special profile in a new window.
We do not know at this time when the first public release will be released.
