According to the latest data from research firm NPD Group, during the month of February, Sony's Playstation 4 achieved slightly better sales than its big rival, the Xbox One of Microsoft.
The figures relate to the United States market.
In her statement, NPD Group does not make a clear reference to sales figures, stating that Xbox One achieved 90% of sales volume achieved by PS4.
Then followed Microsoft's announcement that 258.000 Xbox One was being sold in February, when it came to the conclusion that PS4 sales reached 287.000 units.
However, as the NPD Group notes, the two consoles are available on the market at a significant price difference, as the Xbox One costs 500 dollars, while PS4 starts with 400 dollars.
