"I'll start a new and valuable project," the student wrote in an online chat with an FBI agent in March on 2019.

Osadzinski allegedly told his agent FBI that it will develop its own distribution of Gentoo Linux and publish the updates in an online chat room.
"It will be very safe, in sha allah and will only be released on Social. When there are less apps installed the functional system is more difficult to hack," Osadzinski said.
By May, Osadzinski shared a screenshot of the Gentoo Linux distribution he developed and promised the FBI that it would be “available very soon for the ansar [ISIS supporters]”.
During this discussion, Osadzinski reiterated that the operating system would be very difficult to breach by "Crusader intelligence services".
The FBI said Osadzinski had the necessary knowledge to release such a distribution, having studied computer science through DePaul.
