A case was filed against a foreigner by the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate, for through Internet

The Greek Police's Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate filed a case file against a foreign national of Germany who is accused of pornography of minors through the Internet.

Ειδικότερα, στο πλαίσιο των διαδικτυακών ερευνών που διενεργεί η Διεύθυνση Δίωξης Ηλεκτρονικού Εγκλήματος, για την πάταξη του φαινομένου της παιδικής πορνογραφίας, αναλύθηκε ψηφιακό πληροφοριακό , σύμφωνα με το οποίο σε ιστοσελίδα που προστατευόταν με κωδικό πρόσβασης, διακινείτο υλικό πορνογραφίας ανήλικων. Στο πλαίσιο της συνεχιζόμενης ψηφιακής έρευνας προέκυψαν τα ηλεκτρονικά ίχνη ατόμου, το οποίο είχε συνδεθεί στην ιστοσελίδα αυτή.

The case was informed by the competent Prosecutor's Offices, which issued a bill to remove the confidentiality of the communications and in cooperation with an internet service company, the details of the person to whom the electronic traces corresponded, as well as his place of residence were identified.

Specifically, from the digital identification it emerged that this is a foreigner, a citizen of Germany, with a place of residence on the island of Kos. Two days ago (10.09.2014) a search was carried out at his home, in the presence of a judicial officer, during which a portable s computer, which will be sent to forensic laboratories for further digital analyses.

For this case a relevant criminal case was filed, which will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor's Offices.
