The Greek Network of Professionals of Informatics (HePIS) and Microsoft Hellas, announce the launch of Greece's pan-European campaign Get Online Week 2014.
Get Online Week is an annual campaign aimed at encouraging European citizens to enhance their digital skills to become more competitive in the labor market. This year's event supports the goals of the Big Coalition for Digital Employment, where the European Commission calls on businesses, governments, educational institutions and organizations to work together to cover 500.000 job vacancies in the field of Information and Communication Technologies ) to be created up to 2015.
In the context of Get Online Week 2014 θα διοργανωθεί εκδήλωση για μαθητές και φοιτητές που επιθυμούν να ενημερωθούν για τις προοπτικές και τις ευκαιρίες του κλάδου των Τεχνολογιών Πληροφορικής και Επικοινωνιών, την Τετάρτη 9 Απριλίου, στο αμφιθέατρο του DEREE-The American College of Greece. Χορηγoί της εκδήλωσης είναι η PEOPLECERT, το DEREE-The American College of Greece, το ALBA Graduate Business School at the American College of Greece, η ΜanpowerGroup, το Athens Information Technology καθώς και το European Centre for Women and Technology. Παράλληλα, κατά τη duration της πανευρωπαϊκής εκστρατείας, θα διατεθούν από τη HePIS 500 vouchers δωρεάν εξέτασης στο πρόγραμμα πιστοποίησης Microsoft Office Specialist (M.O.S) για τη συμμετοχή μαθητών και φοιτητών στο ελληνικό σκέλος του Παγκοσμίου Πρωταθλήματος Microsoft Office Specialist. To Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα Microsoft Οffice Specialist είναι ένας διεθνής διαγωνισμός που λαμβάνει χώρα σε 90 χώρες και αξιολογεί τις δεξιότητες των μαθητών και φοιτητών στο Microsoft Office. Στην Ελλάδα διοργανώνεται από τους φορείς πιστοποίησης INFOTEST και ACTA – Τεχνοβλαστός Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, υπό την αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Παιδείας & Θρησκευμάτων.
The Get Online Week campaign is organized every year by the European organization Telecentre Europe and this year it will be organized in more than 30 European countries. The national partner of the campaign in Greece is the Hellenic Network of IT Professionals (HePIS), while the Get Online Week 2014 campaign at the national level is part of the activities of information, awareness and educationof the audience of the Getbusy.gr program as part of the global Microsoft Youthspark initiative.
