Gettr hacked Trump's social network

Several verified profiles on Gettr, the new social network by Jason Miller, once an adviser to former President Trump, were hacked and distorted for a while on Sunday.

Jason Miller said in an email to The Verge that the problem was identified and "fixed within minutes and the only thing the attacker could do was change some usernames". He added that "more than half a million users" had registered on the Gettr platform.

Gettr was scheduled to officially launch yesterday on July 4th. The new social network aims to host three-minute videos, 777-character posts and live streaming videos.

The application of the new platform is available in the app stores of Google and Apple, with the tag "Marketplace of Ideas". The About describes the application as "a brand new social networking platform based on the principles of free speech, independent thinking and the rejection of political censorship" and "the annulment of culture." Intended for users 17 years and older.
