GitHub restore youtube-dl repository after concluding that the code does not violate the provisions and does not circumvent the DMCA.

In last month, RIAA managed to withdraw the popular open source youtube-mp3 tool from GitHub.
The team sent one notice takedown alleging that the software violates Section 1201 of the DMCA, which prevents the circumvention of technical protection measures.

GitHub has restored the repository after some changes. These changes include references to copyrighted music, a change the RIAA wanted. However, the software still allows the users to download files, including music tracks from YouTube.
