The development team GNOME announced that the final version of the enviroment work GNOME 3.12 has been officially released.
GNOME 3.12 is one of the most anticipated versions for this interface, perhaps with the exception of the first version of 3.0. Even though GNOME has lost many supporters, it has managed to win many of them back with the improvements it offers in every new update.
Typically, major GNOME updates come with many features and new options, but in 3.12, developers have overcome themselves and it is virtually impossible to list all the improvements. There are a couple of reservations, which is generally true for every new version of GNOME.
Not all GNOME packages have been updated though. This is a big one upgrade and most apps and packages have at least some changes, but there are some smaller packages that won't get the update. Also, you can't just download GNOME 3.12 and install it on your domain. Actually you can, but don't. It is better to wait for the distribution and get the packages in the repositories.
