The good news is that latest version of Chrome 44 fixed a lot errors. The bad news is that it introduced a new bug that blocks some websites from loading properly, while others fail completely with an ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error message.
The Google development team is well aware of the problem and is currently trying to fix it and push it to Chrome's fixed channel for immediate updates.
The bug started with good intentions. THE codes that showed the error was intended to encourage the use of HTTPS for a longer time safe web experience.
Unfortunately, instead of encouraging the use of a secure connection, if available, it forces the browser to redirect to https σελ pages even if they do not exist!
The problem mainly occurs in self-hosted WordPress sites, but is not limited to them. Other websites that do not support HTTPS or use HTTP and HTTPS also experience problems.
Surely the problem needs further examination by developers. At this time, if you fall on a web page that does not work properly with Chrôme, try opening it with another browser. The problem is probably from Chróme and not from the website.
And of course, get ready for another Chrome update.
