Goolge has released the stable version of Chrome 93.0.4577.62 for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Her blog Google contains a list of 27 security vulnerabilities that have been fixed in Chrome 93.0.4577.62.
Chrome 93 in addition to the new features and enhancements it brings, this version is very important because it is the latest version of Google's regular release rate. Starting with Chrome 94 next month, the company will switch to a four-week release cycle.
It's important to mention that Chrome 93 drops support for 3DES cipher block chaining (CBC) cipher suite in Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Google cites several reasons for this, and one of them is the fact that newer encryptions with AES are secure. 3DES is also vulnerable to the Sweet32 attack and is extremely slow, consuming battery and requires more CPU, especially on mobile. In addition, many of the information leak cache and timing side channels.
In the same vein, Google stops supporting connections with HTTP, HTTPS and FTP servers on port 989 and 990. This is for security reasons and is a protection against the ALPACA attack.
