Google Chrome: Ends Windows XP support at the end of 2015

Google announced that it is extending Chrome support for Windows XP until "the end of 2015." This means that the company will provide Chrome updates and security patches to Windows XP users for at least another eight months.Windows XP

In October of 2013, Google announced for the first time that it would stop providing support for Chrome for Windows XP from April 2015. As it seems, the company has decided to extend its support until December of 2015.

Microsoft is known to no longer support Window XP from 14 April 2009, and then shut down 8's extended 2014 operating system support.

Google says:

It's not just a formality: Windows XP computers haven't received security updates in over a year and are experiencing critical security issues. At the operating system level, computers running XP are inherently vulnerable to infection by λογισμικό και ιούς, γεγονός που καθιστά όλο και πιο δύσκολο για το Chrome να παρέχει ένα ασφαλές περιβάλλον περιήγησης. Γι ‘αυτό ενθαρρύνουμε όλους όσους το χρησιμοποιούν να αναβαθμίσουν σε ένα υποστηριζόμενο, ασφαλές λειτουργικό σύστημα.

Last month, Windows XP existed at over 16% of computers in the world, according to Net Applications.

Windows XP users cannot upgrade to newer versions from Microsoft and IE8 is the latest version they can install. IE9 is only available for Windows Vista and Windows 7, while IE10 and IE11 are only for Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Many users of XP so choose to use third-party browsers like Chrome. Unfortunately, Google and her announcement closed the door.
