Records have started for Google Code Jam

The entries for 12's annual programming contest , Google code jam they started. This time, the contest contains a new category called Distributed Code Jam. The new category will allow registered users to test their problem solving skills using a combination of computer networks.Google code jam

The contest attracts professionals and programming students from all over the world. Competitors are fighting each other as they try to solve the puzzle algorithms as reported by TNW.

The previous Google code jam had more than 35.000 developers competing for the first prize. This year's winner of the contest will win 15.000 dollars, and the winner of Distributed Code Jam will win 3.000 dollars.

Registrations start today and will be open until April 11. The qualifying round will begin on April 10 and the final is scheduled for 14 and 15 August. Contestants must be from 13 and above at the time of registration.
