Big surprise, from the Android development team! Its next mobile operating system Google, codenamed Android N, was introduced much earlier than expected, thanks to the Developer Preview which started today. The new operating system comes with a feature that Android fans have been waiting for: Split-Screen.
New versions of Android are usually announced in detail at Google's I / O conference scheduled for 18 with 20 May, so the announcement came unexpectedly. For its part, Google said that with the release of a project that is still in progress it will have more time to incorporate features suggested by users.
Apparently the company started an Android Beta program by distributing versions previewς over the air. Έτσι οι ενδιαφερόμενοι θα μπορούν να δοκιμάζουν τις τελευταίες functions of Android without wiping their system like Apple's beta approach. Note that today's preview is still intended for development, and the consumer version will be available when Google "gets closer to the final product."
The new Android version of N, brings a lot of great changes. In addition to the Split-Screen we have already mentioned, another big change is in the notification board, which adopts a much more minimal design.
Google also says that the new operating system comes with features for improved savings energys.
If you want to try out the preview version is available for the following devices:
Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Pixel C, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and General Mobile 4G (part of Android One). Google says the final version of the operating system will be released for OEMs this summer.
If you do not want to wait again, you can sign up at Android Beta Program, or download the images directly from the page Android developer.
