Google had filed a patent on 2011, to help its users avoid conflicts. Well you read. The invention can be used for their users Google Glass to notify them when they are busy with the device and do not see them in front of them.
The technology will not have alarms or disturbing sounds, but it will not highlight the displayed virtual objects on the screen. This will alert the user to turn around to avoid falling over a passerby or even worse on a wall or car.
This will be done with data collection from the Google Glass sensors that will calculate the distance between the owner and any obstacles in his way.
It may sound excessive, but it is not. At the moment, few use Google Glass, but once it hits the market, it is expected that many more will follow. Prospective buyers need a little time to get used to the device, so at least in the beginning, they could easily not leave wall to wall…
In a few years, it is likely that many more people will use this gadgets, so Google's new prevention technology could be very handy.
