The second generation of Google Glass could be released in no time, despite rumors that the company has left the project. The CEO of Italian eyewear maker Luxottica, Massimo Vian, said yesterday in Milan that the features of the upcoming device will be released soon.
Vian's company became one of its partners Google in March 2014. Viam could not reveal the exact release date.
Led by Tony Fadell, who leads it marketing, Google seems to be trying to portray the second-generation Glasses not just as a device for tech nerds, but as a useful product for everyone.
Vian reported according to Phonearena that the 2 version of the Google Glass, has already been prepared and the development team is working on ideas for 3.
Project manager Google Glass, Ivy Ross, has already said that the next version of Glass will be cheaper (the first model would cost 1500 dollars), and provide better visuals and sound quality. They will also be equipped with a longer battery.
Until today, however, none of the above seems to have been an obstacle to its sales product.
This is probably Ross's biggest problem. How can he soften the image of the product, transforming it from something that only stalkers use to a product that most people could wear it.
