Google's fight against bad passwords continues. The company is now testing a new login option in the Google Account that allows you to sign in using the user's phone, by skipping the place where you need to enter your password.
The ability to use your phone to verify your identity by sending a notification that allows you to grant or deny access to your account.
Η discovery was made by a Reddit user named rp1226 (Rohit Paul), who was invited to test the new functionality login on his personal Google account.
According to Paul, how does the process work: You authorize your phone to allow you to log in to your account. You can go to a computer and type in to log in with your e-mail. Then you will receive a message on your phone asking you to allow entry. If you click Yes, the computer enters your Google account without requiring a password.
According to Google, this system gives a significant advantage to protection ενάντια στο phishing (η στην προσπάθεια για την απόκτηση ευαίσθητων πληροφοριών, όπως ονόματα χρηστών, κωδικούς πρόσβασης και τα data of credit cardς, από μεταμφιεσμένα μηνύματα ως ένα αξιόπιστο πρόσωπο). Keyloggers επίσης καθίστανται άχρηστα. Επίσης απλοί κωδικοί πρόσβασης όπως 123456, Password, pizza etc will now be useless.
