OnHub: Google is trying to find new ways to get into your home, and this time it seems to have done it with a 199 dollar Wi-Fi router.
Η company OnHub today introduced a router for all your home connectivity needs.
Google reports that OnHub has a number of new features that make it powerful and accessible to the average user, as TNW transmits.
For example, the router uses "smart software to find the best Wi-Fi connection."
It can also prioritize individual Appliances so you can be sure they have a faster connection when needed. The device also has 13 antennas in a circular arrangement and supports the maximum speed of 1900 Mbps.
This accessibility is also reflected in the device interface. Since its launch, Google has a very simple installation process, notifies you of any network problems and how to fix it.
You can also see the devices connected to the network with a simple visual representation, and you can even use the app to see who's online while you're away from home, or have someone help you remotely.
OnHub is ready for the future with connectivity Bluetooth Smart Ready, 802.15.3, and Weave, a new protocol from Google for the Internet of Things.
Includes 4GB storage for updates and new features, and a dimmer light.
Google reports that OnHub has been built to look and not to be hidden in a corner of the house.
The pre-orders for OnHub have been opened and Google says it will start shipping "in the coming weeks."
