Google Photos ends in storage for some videos

Η Google Photos will no longer allow you to upload video formats it does not support. So you won't be able to take advantage of the free unlimited storage that the company offers.

The news was published at support site of the service earlier this week.

Google Photos

It's a small change that doesn't seem to affect too many , as Google Photos already supports the following video formats:

.mpg, .mod, .mvv, .tod, .wmv, .asf, .avi, .divx, .mov, .m4v, .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .m2t, .m2ts, .mts, and. mkv.

The above list does not include RAW and VOB files which usually take up a lot of storage space. So if you have saved such files in the Be prepared for surprises, as you will probably have to pay for the space they occupy on Google if you do not remove them from your account.

Keep in mind that the service provides free and unlimited space for storing images at low resolution. Photographers and other professionals who want a full resolution of the images they upload to the service will have to pay.

According to the company, free and unlimited storage allows only "optimized" images (ie compressed).
