Smart Lock manager; Much has been made of the latest announcements made during the Google I/O conference in San Francisco. From iGuRu.gr we thought we would focus on a new security feature that seems to have gone unnoticed.
The company announced a new built-in Smart Lock manager, which will be available in the new Android Developer Preview Software.
As the company said, the developers of Orbitz, Netflix, and The New York Times updated their applications to use the new feature.
“With the integration of the Smart Lock service for the codeς access in your Android app, you can automatically sign in to the app using your saved credentials," the company says in the new feature's presentation.
"Use the credentials stored for the sign in of the user, or use the credential API to quickly register new users with the partial form completion that your application will offer.
With this new service Google is trying to compete with similar services by providing an open source password manager and expanding the program's password management program tours Chrome that stores the logins of its users.
With the new API of the service we will soon see the new security feature in many web applications and also in those coming for installation in our systems.
