Google Street View collects everything. The last period has been covered by the earthquakes in Japan, and Loch Ness, the landscapes of Greenland and the Amazon rainforest.
Today, Street View has added another sculpted area to the landscapes it displays: one of the most active volcanoes in the world, the Italian Etna volcano.
So from today those who are looking for the volcano in Maps of Google or the Google Earth they will now be able to see him Crater Silvestri located at 2.000 meters above sea level, in 360 degrees.
While Google's now famous Street View cars have become a familiar sight on the streets and avenuesconditions around the world, the Trekker on the back of the company worker is ubiquitous in some of the strangest and most beautiful places.
Apple is today in the early stages of setting up its own road view, with its cars starting to circulate in several cities around the world.
But the company has yet a long way to go to catch up.
