The Google Summer of Code, provides financing during duration of the summer, to students to contribute code to freelance projects software. It is implemented globally and since its launch in 2015 more than 12.000 students from 127 countries resulting in more than 30.000.000 code lines being produced for 568 open source organizations.
In the program they can participate Students who have programming skills and who want to gain knowledge and experience in their areas of interest. Students selected will have to participate for 3 months in the project in the open source project they will choose to contribute and will be funded up to 4.800$, after a monthly assessment.
The Open Technologies Organization (EELAK), participates this year with 11 open source projects and 12 mentors and invites those students who wish to contribute to one of the projects, to participate in GSOC 2017 by choosing the project that suits their interests and skills.
Students interested in participating in Open Society Organization projects can submit their proposals from 20 March to April 3 2017.
