71 Greek was arrested for sending spam messages

At the same time, he also owned a large number of files with email messages

Tactic proceedings was formed by the Economic Police and Electronic Crime Prosecution Service against a 71-year-old citizen, for violating the legal provisions on the protection of personal data. 

There was a previous complaint from the Personal Data Protection Authority, according to which a website contains lists of a large number of email addresses of natural persons, as well as with content of e-mail messages. According to the allegations, these lists were used to send spam messages.

From the police-internet investigation, which was carried out in the context of the removal of confidentiality, after an order of the Athens Prosecutor's Office for a Preliminary Examination, it emerged that the administrator of the disputed website is the 71-year-old native.

The survey conducted at 71rono's home in Glyfada, in the presence of a Judicial Officer and with the assistance of a staff member of the Personal Data Protection Authority, was found to have previously managed the website in question.

In addition, four (4) criminals were found and seized computers, which will be sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for further laboratory tests.

The file that was filed against 71hron will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of Athens.
