Lixin-University-of-Commerce Hackers

Two students (hackers) at a university in Shanghai was charged of the institution's computer network in order to modify  information about  physics lesson s.

With entrepreneurship running like in their veins, the student twin he found a simple way to easily make money, about $ 4.000 / € 2.900 (25.000 yuan),  during their studies at Lixin University of Commerce in Shanghai.

One of the requirements of the university is for male students to complete running 20 rounds of 1.500 meter lengths and corresponding 18 rounds for women. The data is recorded in the database by passing a card at the beginning and completion of the execution. If one does not complete the total number of routes then it leads to failure and cutting into the physical education lesson.

Students Zhou and Cao started a business together that would bring them steady income from "clients" who wanted to change the data in the university archives.

The story began almost like all the others Zh .. Zhou was afraid that he would fail the lesson and to avoid this, he himself gained unauthorized access to the database and modified the records. Some of his classmates discovered it and offered him money to do the same for them. Cao learned about the business and offered to help Zhou gather customers for the business, giving him more time to deal with hacking. The profitable activity lasted four months and each hack was charged about $ 3 / € 2 (20 yuan).

The university eventually realized the changes in the data as well as those responsible for hacking and reported the two students to the police. The arrestees said they knew they were wrong, but they never imagined that their actual act was a crime.
