About a week ago with the article “Surprise: Google allows you to download your history” we reported that Google started allowing all account holders to λήψη of history search.
One of his new choices Google Dashboard released by the company are the options to enable or disable tracking through Google services. So you can choose whether the company can collect the websites you've visited, YouTube and Chrome browser history, as well as information from other Google products.
For those who are interested in changing what they share with the company they need to connect on the Google Activities page.
You will see various options by clicking on icon with the gear. The “Remove Data” option allows you to delete your account history tracking periods.
To change your preferences you need to click on "Settings" or the example of the photo above in "Settings" and choose which services you want to be enabled or not. To go to your Account "Settings", try from here.
Privacy is a hot topic, and despite the Chrome browser's individual settings allowing you to enable features such as 'Do not track', effectively allowing local management of your browsing history settings, these options do not apply to your Google online accounts. The settings we mention above are separate and can only be made from the pages we mentioned.
In case you want to download your history, you can do it from the same gear as shown in the figure below.
A popup window will warn you not to download your search history to a public computer as it contains too many sensitive information. Accept the dialogue and you will receive an email from the company containing your entire history.
The company seems to have chosen this route, following the constant chase it receives from the privacy groups. Of course, nobody can know what Google continues to collect, even when the above options are very carefully set up.
