On modern computers, the computer's internal speaker is often connected to Windows hardware management, allowing the computer to play a sound, like a beep, even if there are no external speakers attached to the machine.
If you have Windows 7 without external speakers or if audio drivers are not running or are turned off, you may hear a disturbing sound beep in some cases, for example, when an alert message window is displayed.
With the intent that you want your peace of mind, so you do not even have external speakers, and you're disturbed by these beeps, you might be interested in turning them off. Below you can see how to do it.
To disable the sound of your computer's internal speaker in Windows 7, you must do the following:
1. Turn right click στο “Υπολογιστής” (Desktop) on your Windows desktop or menu or in explorer.
2. In the Computer menu, select “Manage” (Manage)
3. In the Computer Manager window (left pane), select "Device Manager"
4. Click on the “View” menu and select “Show hidden devices”. Some new groups will appear in the device list in the middle window. Among them you will find the new group entitled "Programs driving without Plug and Play Drivers” (Non-Plug and Play Drivers).
5. Expand this group and find the item called Beep (probably second on the list). Double-click on it and go to the "Driver" tab. From there, turn it off from the "Current Status" section by clicking the "Finish" button and setting the "Off" option in the "Start" section, as in the image below:
6. Then click OK to close the Properties window. After that, the annoying sound will stop being heard from the computer speaker.
