HTC announced it RE camera, a 16MP periscope-shaped camera that competes with GoPro. The camera can record 1080p video and timelapses. It can also record HD video in slow movement at 1/4 speed.
The device has a 146-degree wide-angle lens and stabilization software pictures. It is made to be waterproof.

The camera comes in white, petroleum, orange and blue and will be available for 199 dollars from the website recamera.com in the US in November.
