All USB ports are not the same. Some have been built to do some work better and faster. Let's see how and what.
You may have noticed that charging your mobile phone becomes faster when you plug it into one door USB prominently located on your computer and more slow when you put it in a sub. In fact, smartphones with Android 6.0 and above understand the difference and inform you by writing to screen “Charging” or “Slow charging”.
Although slow charging may have to do with a faulty cable, it may also be a fault that you have plugged it into a USB slow-charging port. There is a way of recognizing the differences of your doors, as long as you notice them a little better.
First recognize the symbols. See the image below to locate the USB 3.0, 2.0, and charging port on your system.
Depending on the manufacturer of your computer you may see the lightning bolt symbol (meaning the port is suitable for charging) next to the 3.0 symbol. This means that this particular port is suitable for both fast charging and streaming data USB 3.0.
As for data speed, we remind you that USB 3.0 ports are usually blue while 2.0 is black or gray.
Finally, ports that do not have the lightning bolt will still charge your phone. Simply the electrical power to them is limited, which leads to slow charging.
