Inkscape 1.0 has been officially released for Linux, Windows and Mac

Inkscape 1.0 is finally available for after at least three years of development and, just as expected, this major release comes with a huge changelog.

Inkscape

The  and images and web pages, is available for Linux operating systems, Windows and macOS. Starting with version 1.0, InkScape is offered as a native macOS application, which means you should notice better performance and increased reliability.

Incscape is a powerful, free and code, design tool. Whether you're an illustrator, designer, web designer, or just someone who needs to create images from scratch, Inkscape is for you.

What's new in this update is that Inkscape introduces a new feature called PowerPencil that allows the Pencil tool to be used with a pressure-dependent width. You can also create a closed path and draw line drawings.

The PDF export tool has also been improved and now supports links and clickable metadata, while other notable improvements include variable font support, new templates, grid gradients that work in the browser, and new line height settings.

There are also customizable themes, icons and fonts and users can save the current file as a template.
