What's new in this update is that Inkscape introduces a new feature called PowerPencil that allows the Pencil tool to be used with pressure-dependent width. You can also create a closed path and draw line drawings. The PDF exporter has also been improved and now supports clickable links and metadata, other notable improvements are variable font support, new templates, grid gradients that work in the program browsing and new ones settings line height.
