If you are running the OS system CentOS and try to install it Google Chrome μάλλον θα απογοητευτείτε.
Yes, Google has reportedly stopped support for the RHEL 6.X distribution while on the other hand, Firefox and Opera browsers seem to be unaffected problems on the same platforms.
Below we will describe how to install Google Chrome using a script developed by Richard Lloyd.
The script will download the latest one version of the Google browser, and will select the required libraries, placing them in the /opt/google/chrome folder.
So you will be able to run it application even though it no longer supports RHEL and CentOS distributions.
Open the terminal and run the following commands:
wget http://chrome.richardlloyd.org.uk/install_chrome.sh
chmod u + x install_chrome.sh
./install_chrome.sh
After installation, start the application from the terminal as a simple user (not as a root).
