The company First look media, a news agency founded by the billionaire founder of the eBay auction site, Pierre O'Millard, today launched its first online magazine, called The Intercept and initially will focus on its spying activities National Security Service (NSA) of the United States, based on what the former IT consultant revealed Edward Snowdon. The site is run by former Salon and Guardian columnist Glenn Greenwald and documentary producer Laura Poitras—the only journalists who have worked directly with Snowden—as well as Jeremy Scahill, researcher, journalist, author of Dirty Wars and co-producer of the documentary of the same name (2013) about US secret operations abroad. The first article published on the site is co-authored by Greenwald and Scahill and focuses on the methods the NSA uses to identify targets for attacks unmanned aerial vehicles.
The site also publishes photos sites that use the NSA and other intelligence services drawn by visual artist Trevor Paglen.
