This summer, the Japanese government will begin testing in a system which will allow foreign tourists to verify their identity and purchase goods and services using only their fingerprint.

Japan is testing a similar fingerprint system for its citizens, which will allow them to withdraw money from ATMs in an effort to increase security and reduce cases of illegal stolen cards.
