Kaspersky Free, yes you read well: Kaspersky Security Company has just announced a free antivirus called Kaspersky Free. New application comes with the basic package of features to prevent malware and protect your computer.
Kaspersky Free has already been tested in several markets (Russia, Ukraine, China and Sweden) without any formal announcement. The Russian company said the user feedback was extremely positive, indicating that global traffic is needed.
However, the debut of the new freeware antivirus will take place in July in the largest global markets, USA, Canada and Kazakhstan, while countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain will acquire security software in October.

Kaspersky says its free antivirus is too light for system resources and faster than its other security products because it does not have so many built-in features. There are no ads, although you are prompted to buy the entire Kaspersky Internet Security if you want more functionality.
Without a doubt, Kaspersky Free will be a very strong opponent in popular free antivirus products such as Avast, but the biggest target for the Russian company seems to be Windows Defender.
