Globally, the revenue for the suppliers of terminal security grew by a total of 2,6% in 2014, while Kaspersky Lab's revenue increased by 6,5%.
The report shows that global revenue for security solutions providers for terminal devices amounted to a total of 9 billion 2014, with four vendors earning more than $ 700 million. These suppliers represent 64% of total revenue.
Kaspersky Lab is one of them, taking fourth place with its revenue reaching $ 710,6 million. 2014, the company's revenue increased by 6,5%, with the market share being set to 7,9%. Kaspersky Lab was in fourth place and 2013 when its revenue increased by 6,1%, reaching $ 667 million.
In addition, Kaspersky Lab was also one of IDC's "remarkable winners" due to its growing share of the market for consumer terminal security solutions. In total, for 2014, this sector grew anemic, by 1% worldwide. However, Kaspersky Lab share increased more than 9%. The low overall growth of this market segment is largely related to the decline in computer sales.
